Fungus in Tissue

This is an image of fungus in tissue. Four images were taken at different focal planes in order to include all levels of the sectioned material, then the images were fused together to yield one image that is sharp in all planes. Fusion routine is part of the PAX-it software features included with the PAXcam camera.
