Human Hair This is an image of a human hair sample, crushed. The entire sample could not be focussed at once due to its thickness. Four images were taken at different focal planes with an Olympus BHSM Polarizing Microscope and PAXcam digital camera, then fused in PAX-it's image fusion routine to yield one image that is sharp across the field of view.
