The
PAXcam digital camera includes flexible tools for creating
overlays on the live preview image—with either textual,
graphical, or image-based overlays available for use! Overlays
are a quick and easy way to place crosshairs, scale bars,
alignment markers, text messages, and more on the LIVE
image
preview. You may also designate stored reference images
to be overlaid on top of your live image for direct comparison!

Template Overlays
PAX-it
allows you to create videotext templates such as scale
bars,
reference measurements, arrows, and many other annotations.
PAXcam's easy to use interface allows you to place any
of
these user-defined templates over your live image, in any
resolution. You can use these templates as a quick visual
measurement gauge, as an alignment marker, a pointer….be
creative! Want to place a crosshair on the live image?
No
problem, simply create a videotext template in PAX-it and select it as your overlay from the PAXcam interface.
Text
and graphic overlays can be moved and rotated on the live
preview, making this powerful tool even more useful for your
specific application.
Image
Overlays
Any
archived image can also be placed over the PAXcam live
image.
This is the perfect feature for overlaying grainsize images,
flake shape images, or other reference samples over your
live
view for comparison. Bring the reference chart to your computer
screen instead of printing out pictures for comparison
to
the wall chart! For forensics, place a fingerprint, signature
or bullet image over your live image for comparison. Need
a quick reference for cell types based on nuclear size & structure?
Simply overlay your archived reference images over the
live preview.
With a single button click, you can increment through all
of the images in a folder until you find the right match!
Image overlays can be moved or rotated over the live image
to make your comparisons easy!
Image overlays can be adjusted for transparency, so that the
features you need to see are present, with the live preview
visible behind them!
