VILLA PARK, IL – MIS, Inc. is pleased to announce that images taken with the PAXcamARC+ digital microscope camera (www.paxcam.com) are featured on a newly-developed microscopic art website:  CrystalScapes.  CrystalScapes is a website, developed by Dr. Carl Johnson of California, based on his many years of study and interest in crystalline substances.  The website features microscopic images of different crystal structures, captured using the high-resolution PAXcamARC+ digital microscope camera, with adjustable image resolutions up to 32 megapixels.  Dr. Johnson has captured and posted images of many different samples in order to display the "art of crystallography", the beauty and colorful variations of crystal structures.  Copies of the images will be available for purchase on the website.


Dr. Johnson searched the market for a CCD microscope camera that would provide the performance, quality, resolution and color fidelity to adequately capture the images for his art work.  After his search was completed, he selected the PAXcamARC+ camera, which features a scientific-grade CCD sensor and pixel-shifting technology to allow for adjustable resolutions.  The 32 megapixel setting (6464 x 4864) produces stunning images as seen on CrystalScapes.  "The PAXcamARC+ camera is just plain awesome!!......you can quote me on that", said Dr. Johnson.
